bulletMemory Loss - Forgets recently learned Information
bulletDifficult performing familiar tasks - Is unable to complete everyday tasks such as preparing a meal, using a household appliance or participating in a lifelong hobby.
bulletProblems with language - Often forgets simple words or substitutes unusual words making speech or writing hard to understand.
bulletDisorientation to time and place - Becomes lost on his / her own street, forgets where he / she is and how they got there and does not know how to get back home.
bulletPoor or decreased judgment - Dresses without regard to the weather, gives away large amounts of money or pays for unnecessary home repairs or products.
bullet Problems with abstract thinking - Is unable to balance a checkbook, completely forgetting what the numbers are and what needs to be done with them.
bulletMisplacing things - May put things in unusual places: an iron in the freezer or a wristwatch in the sugar bowl.
bulletChanges in mood or behavior - Shows rapid mood swings - from calm to tears to anger - for no apparent reason.
bulletLoss of initiative - Very passive, sits in front of the television for hours, sleeps more than usual or does not want to do usual activities.
